Celebrate Spring 2013 Fashion Week with the World’s Most Stylish Hotels Including Maison Moschino in Milan, Hotel Missoni in Edinburgh, Round Hill in Montego Bay and More

You know that this woman loves to travel so what better way to kick off Spring 2013 Fashion Week than by profiling the world’s most stylish hotels?

Jetsetter is one of my favorite sites and a daily go-to for the most beautiful destinations. They have compiled a list of the globe’s swankiest hotels and are offering the chance to stay at each for great prices.

Let’s dive in!

Maison Moschino – Milan, Italy

Though I took Italian 1 earlier this year, I haven’t been to Milan nor Italy just yet. I can tell you one thing: when I do travel there, I must stay at Maison Moschino. It features sleek white furnishings, lanterns fashioned to look like clouds and rose petal-covered bedspreads, bringing a surrealist fairytale to life. Naturally, the hotel’s interiors were designed by Moschino’s Creative Director, Rossella Jardini, making it a must-see for any fashion lover.

From floating dress lamps to chandeliers given an almost edible spin with resin cookies and cakes, the hotel’s 65-room design is pure fun and whimsy. The bathrooms also feature Moschino custom-scented bath products.

Hotel Missoni - Edinburgh, Scotland

In Edinburgh’s Old Town between the Royal Mile and stylish Victoria Street, Hotel Missoni is the brand’s first foray into hotels. The glamorous space features Missoni’s signature brights and prints, turning just a stay there into a true vacation.

The brand’s co-founder, Rosita Missoni, oversaw every detail of the hotel from top to bottom. Up next are hotels in Brazil, Kuwait and Oman. I cannot wait to see them!

Round Hill – Montego Bay, Jamaica

Guess who is a part of Round Hill’s board? None other than iconic designer Ralph Lauren who put his signature touch on the property. He blended the vibrant shades of the Caribbean with four-poster beds, sunken baths, and even a pillow menu which allows you to pick exactly which fluffy accoutrements you would like to lay your head on at the end of every night.

The hotel has become big with the New York fashion set, but don’t worry: you won’t see the classic all-black uniform of my city here. It’s all about those Resort-perfect pieces that are full of color and ooze simplicity and sophistication. Though I love to throw on my flip flops and go wherever the wind and beach take me, the crowd at Round Hill is much cooler than that, so when you do go there, keep it polished!

Tortuga Bay – Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Oscar de la Renta is one of the world’s biggest designers and the animated and beautiful culture of his home country of the Dominican Republic is always present in whatever he creates, thus it made perfect sense for him to design Tortuga Bay in Punta Cana from top to bottom. He is also the co-owner of the property and an occasional live-in resident.

The property is impossibly chic and refined, mimicking Mr. de la Renta’s aesthetic. Tan and black wicker chairs, dark wood end tables, and fresh flowers are a staple in almost every room and the hotel is relatively quiet, with peace and tranquility being treasured.

Hotel le Bellechasse – Paris, France

Christian Lacroix lent his genius to the 34-room Hotel le Bellechasse on the Left Bank of Paris, in the Faubourg St. Germain district. The building dates back to 1840 and is truly a work of art! Nearby are the Boulevard Saint-Germain, the Eiffel Tower (a must-see in life) the Louvre (one of my favorite places in the entire universe) , the Musée d’Orsay, and the Seine.

Lacroix is one of fashion’s most animated designers and the hotel reflects that with loads of color and life. A cool feature is that each room is soundproof, so a great night’s sleep is imminent.

Claridge’s – London, England

Last, but not least is one of London’s most luxurious hotels which has been given a modern spin with the hand of iconic designer Diane von Furstenberg. Her first interior design project led her to create bespoke prints and fabrics for the property using her signature patterns and eye-catching shades. If you follow DVF on Twitter, you already know that she is always on the go, thus she is the perfect person to design a hotel.
